Busy Busy London

Wow, London it certainly keeping us busy. We checked out Tate Modern and spent hours staring at amazing Art from the likes of Picasso, Tasner and Pollock. (photos) We stumbled onto St Paul’s Cathedral which is so huge, we popped inside and experienced the service under the big dome the choir sounded wicked. The detail in that building is superb, no wonder the royals get married there.

Yesterday we went to Notting Hill and the Portobello Rd markets(3km long!!!), which was so busy and the atmosphere was great. Had a famouse crepe, oh my yummmmm! Stopped on Bond St and Oxford St and got lost in Victoria’s Secret while Darren had a beer. We passed out in a minute flat when we got back to the hotel. (mini casino inside our hotel)

Off to the British museum now, should be good.

London Town

We explored the sights of London, London and Tower Bridges, Buckingham Palace (spotted Prince Charles in a car escorted by 10 police cars), so far the House of Parliment and Big Ben have been our favourite building, the detail is ridiculous, so beautiful.

We took a ride through Hyde Park and had a picnic lunch by a pond near Kensington Palace. Hyde Park is so busy, lots of people out enjoying the sunshine.

We’re getting around on the big red buses and the Underground, these get you everywhere you want to go.

We did a bit of shopping yesterday and stumbled across a great little restaurant in Soho for a shared dinner of Indian inspired dishes. Yummo.

I think we are just about over the jet lag today 🙂

Up Up and Away

Etihad are great to fly with, all inclusive they don’t miss a thing. We were happy with our flight experience, Australia is a long way from London but the little comforts of blankets and pillows, a long list of movies and food almost you could forget was airplane food. Then came the Business Class upgrade …. Wow! “Champange Miss?” “Yes please!” Darren kicked back with a Johnny Black, we enjoyed a massage, watched a movie and we got some serious zzzzz’s in our horizontal seats (beds). Great way to end the long haul to Heathrow. We’re here x
